Beautiful restaurant owned by a lovely couple. They were incredibly welcoming and made me feel very special. Awesome food and service. Highly recommend !

Wow what a host! Whether you like it or not, if you walk past here you MUST eat here. The food was extremely good, so was the atmosphere in this corner of the city and the people there were very friendly (like everywhere in Albania) If the owner has told you how many restaurants and hotels he owns and that you should write a review, you can pick up a cookie here: Stigelschwandstrasse 18a 3715 Adelboden Switzerland.

The extremely friendly landlord not only explained the menu to me, but also the way to the Ali Pasha Bridge. The dishes - stuffed peppers and qifqi (rice balls with herbs) - were delicious.

Here you can find several specialties of traditional Albanian cuisine. The food is homemade, tasty and inexpensive. The atmosphere is family and the service is also very friendly and generous (dessert offered). Perfect for a meal on the go, simple but delicious.

Taverna Lani was a highlight of our trip to Gjirokaster!! Lani and his wife and mother were so hospitable and really made us feel cared for. We passed by on our way up to the Ali Pasha bridge, and decided on the way back to stop at Taverna Lani for some food. We had the qifqi, musaka, stuffed peppers, sarma, fusale beans, and then she gave us some complimentary cake after our meal. So delicious. They accommodated for our vegan friend with vegetables and meals with no eggs or milk. Everything made there was vegeterian!! They both taught us some Albanian words and chatted with us to make us feel welcome… shumeer e shijshme! Very tasty!!

I recommend it! A very pleasant environment, where freshly prepared and traditional foods of the area are served. With a warm and friendly service and very reasonable prices as well. A tavern that I will definitely go to again! 😊

Since we already slept in the Lani hotel, we stylishly chose the Lani restaurant for tonight's dinner. We were also inspired by the previous reviews. The whole evening was wonderful. The owner and his wife provided us with lots of good food. We had a village salad, byrek, rice balls and fries. And in addition to that, as an attention from the company, we received a sweet dessert - a local gingerbread doused in sweet juice.
